Information We Collect
We collect the details you provide when you create an account, create invoices, subscribe to a plan, or get in touch with us. This may include business information, email address, client details, invoice line items, and any assets you upload.
- •Account details like your name, email, and business name
- •Invoice data including client names, addresses, and amounts
- •Plan and billing status (for example, whether you are on Free or Pro)
- •Usage and device data to keep the platform secure and prevent abuse
How We Use Your Data
Your information is used to deliver and improve the Free Invoice App experience. We do not sell personal data. We only share it with trusted partners when required to deliver the features you use (for example, Supabase for data storage, Resend for email delivery, and Stripe for subscription billing).
- •Create, store, and send your invoices securely
- •Enforce plan limits (such as monthly invoice send limits) and Pro-only features (such as recurring and scheduled sends)
- •Provide customer support and respond to questions
- •Monitor platform health, prevent abuse, and improve performance
Billing & Subscriptions (Stripe)
If you upgrade to Pro, payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your full payment card details on our servers. Stripe may process your payment method and billing details in accordance with their own privacy policy.
- •We may store Stripe-related identifiers (such as customer and subscription IDs) to manage your subscription
- •Subscription status (active/cancelled) may be used to determine feature access
- •You can manage or cancel your subscription from your account settings
Data Security & Retention
We follow industry best practices to keep your information safe. Data is encrypted in transit using HTTPS and stored with Supabase. We retain invoice data for as long as your account remains active or as required to comply with applicable laws (including record-keeping obligations).
- •Access is restricted to authorised services only
- •Backups are performed regularly to prevent data loss
- •You can request deletion of your account data at any time
Emails, PDFs, and Branding
When you send invoices or reminders, we send emails to your recipients through our email delivery provider. Your plan may also affect invoice branding.
- •Invoice emails may include recipient email address and invoice metadata required for delivery
- •Free plan invoices may include a “Powered by Free Invoice App” watermark on PDFs and email footers
- •Pro plan invoices remove the “Powered by” watermark
Your Rights & Choices
You can log in at any time to update business information, download invoices, or close your account. If you have questions about the data stored on our systems, we are happy to help.
- •Request a copy of the information linked to your account
- •Update or correct your business profile
- •Request account deletion once legal obligations are satisfied
