How we research and update our guides

We publish practical information for Australian sole traders, tradies, freelancers, and small businesses. This policy explains where that information comes from and how we keep it useful.

What we publish

Our guides focus on invoicing workflows, Australian tax-invoice requirements, getting paid, business record keeping, and comparisons of invoicing products. Product claims are checked against the current Free Invoice App experience and published pricing.

Sources and review

For tax and business obligations, we prefer primary Australian sources such as the Australian Taxation Office, ASIC, and government business guidance. Articles link to the relevant source where it helps a reader verify the detail. Software comparisons use public pricing, product documentation, and feature pages available when the comparison is reviewed.

Each article shows an updated date. We change that date when we materially revise the guidance, examples, product details, or source information. Minor spelling and formatting corrections do not represent a new review.

Authorship and independence

Articles are published by the Free Invoice App editorial team at Blu Mint Digital, the company that builds Free Invoice App. We do not present that team as registered tax agents, accountants, or lawyers. Our comparisons explain the criteria used and are not labelled independent when we are comparing our own product.

General information, not professional advice

Our content is general information. It is not tax, accounting, or legal advice and may not cover your circumstances. Check current official guidance and use an appropriately qualified professional when a decision depends on your specific business.

Corrections

If you find a factual error, an outdated price, or a broken source, email hello@blumint.com.au with the article URL and the detail that needs review. We correct verified errors in the article and update its date when the change is material.
