Common questions
Can I invoice my regular cleans automatically?
Yes, on Pro and Pro+. Set up a recurring invoice weekly, fortnightly, monthly, quarterly or yearly and it is created and sent on schedule, so a regular client is never missed.
Can one invoice cover a whole month of cleans?
Yes, on every plan. Turn on Group items by date when you add line items, and each visit is listed under its own date on one invoice.
Do I charge GST on cleaning?
Only if you are registered for GST. Registration is compulsory once your GST turnover reaches $75,000 in a 12-month period and optional below it. If you are registered, the app adds 10% and titles the document Tax Invoice. If you are not, it leaves GST off.
Can I attach before and after photos?
Yes, on Pro and Pro+. Photos and documents go out attached to the invoice email: 3 files per invoice on Pro and 10 on Pro+, up to 10MB in total. Photos are shrunk automatically so the email still lands.
Can clients pay by card?
Yes, on every plan. Switch on card payments and each invoice includes a Pay now button. Payments settle to your own Stripe account, Stripe processing fees apply, and Free Invoice App adds no platform fee. Bank transfer details on the invoice stay free.
Does it work on my phone?
Yes. Free Invoice App runs in your phone browser and can be added to your home screen, so you can invoice from the car park after a job. There is nothing to download or update.
